A native of Sebastian and a graduate of Vero Beach High School, Cynthia V. Hall practices in the areas of trust and estate administration (probate), estate planning, contracts, Medicaid and VA benefits planning, real estate contracting and advice (including leases), prenuptial agreements, contracts for sale of assets, contracts for sale of businesses, patent prosecution and licensing, trademark registration & licensing, copyright registration, clearance, and licensing, trade secret counseling,and other small business and property-related matters. She works in both the Sebastian, Florida and Palm Bay, Florida offices, and is the managing attorney of the firm. She has been practicing law in and filing probate cases in Brevard County and Indian River County since 2009.
Cynthia VanDeVoorde Hall earned her J.D. degree, cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, DC, where she was executive editor of the Georgetown International Law Journal. Prior to moving back to her hometown of Sebastian, FL, Cynthia previously worked as an associate attorney at Alston & Bird in Atlanta, as an assistant legal advisor at Georgia State University, and as a law clerk at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Administrative Law Judges. Cynthia grew up working in her father's law firm in Sebastian, and though she was always interested in government and some aspects of the law, she enjoyed science and technology more. Cynthia earned a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering with high honors from the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) and she worked as a chemical and environmental engineer in college and for 5 years after college. She was formerly (but is not currently) licensed as a professional engineer (P.E.) in Virginia before deciding to return to school to study law.
Lawyer Cynthia Hall is admitted to practice before the Florida Bar, the State Bar of Georgia, and before the United States Veteran's Administration, and the United States Patent & Trademark Office. She is a member of both the Elder Law Section and the Real Property, Probate, and Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar, and served for 6 years (the maximum allowable consecutive terms) on the Florida Bar’s Florida Probate Rules Committee, serving as Chair of one of its subcommittees. She is the proud parent of two young women who attended school in the School District of Indian River County, Florida. Cynthia has volunteered with the PTSAs of Liberty Magnet School, Sebastian River Middle School (where she served as PTSA President and Treasurer), and Sebastian River High School, as well as with the Sebastian River High School Band and SRHS Ladies' Lacrosse. Cynthia served for more than 9 years on the Board of Directors Indian River County Bar Association, including serving as President of the IRCBA from 2021-2022. In her local community, she has served as Recording Secretary and is a Past President of the GFWC Sebastian River Junior Woman’s Club, where you can often find her volunteering around the community at various festivals and events. Cynthia is an active member, and lector at St. Sebastian Catholic Church. Cynthia volunteered as chairperson of the 2011 American Cancer Society North Indian River County Relay for Life planning committee, and for many years was on the Board of Directors of the Sebastian River Area Chamber of Commerce and served on its Legislative and Government Affairs Committee, where she several times moderated City of Sebastian candidate debates. She also volunteered to serve for several years and was Chairperson of the Indian River County Environmental Control Hearing Board. Attorney Cynthia Hall is also active at the state level in the GFWC-Florida, having served as Education Chair for Junior Clubs, Junior District 10 Director (a region that includes Indian River County, St. Lucie County, Okeechobee County, Martin County, and Palm Beach County). She was also a member of the 2011 class of Leadership Indian River County, and continues to assist that program as a member of the alumni advisory board.
Cynthia Hall is available to advise clients throughout the United States on patent, trademark, and other federal law matters, and is available to speak to groups of all sizes on probate, estate planning, planning for aging (at all ages), succession planning for small businesses, Florida homestead law, intellectual property, and other legal topics. In partnership with the Florida Bar Elder Law Section, she is also a presenter for the Elder$mart$ (Eldersmarts) program to combat fraud against seniors and vulnerable adults, and would love the opportunity to present this or any other program to local clubs and organizations.
Ms. Kimberly A. Jones is a native of Lincoln, Nebraska and attended the University of
Nebraska for both her Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctorate degrees. She has been
admitted to the bar in Florida since 2006. Ms. Jones was previously an Assistant State
Attorney in Indian River County and Polk counties. As a prosecutor, she conducted 59
jury trials and numerous motion hearings and non-jury trials. She worked as an
Assistant Attorney General as a felony prosecutor and Chief of the Criminal Division in
the U.S. Territory of American Samoa before joining VanDeVoorde Hall Law, P.L. in
2014.
Kimberly’s practice areas include probate administration, trust administration, estate planning including wills, trusts and powers of attorney, guardianship, and real estate matters such as review and preparation of contracts, review of title issues,
deeds and representing sellers or buyers in residential real estate transactions.
Kimberly is a member of the Rotary Club of Sebastian and has served as president,
treasurer and secretary. She has volunteered with many of
the various community projects through the Rotary Club of Sebastian including their
Scholarship Committee, reading with kindergartners and preschoolers, the annual golf
outing scholarship fundraiser and the annual River Days Festival
fundraiser for youth sports teams and organizations in Sebastian, Florida. Kimberly currently serves on the school board for Master’s Academy of Vero Beach
